HELFORHAY broke sluggishly, found room on the inside when moving up strongly, took a clear lead in the stretch and, tiring near the end, lasted over FRESCHAL. The latter lacked early speed, was forced wide on the turn by YOCK JIM and was getting to the winner. LITTLE FALLS was forwardly placed and had no mishap. PIPCON came between horses after a slow start and should improve when sent a longer distance. TEDDYS PICNIC and TARTAN SUE raced each other into defeat vying for the early lead. THE TORMENTIL was through early. FLOWER MARKET was carried wide by YOCK JIM, who had brief speed, eased back nearing the turn and ran wide on the turn. NOTHER SPEECH, far back in the opening half-mile, went up with a rush on „the final turn to wrest command and got the nod over GRAY GOWN while drifting out in the late stages. The latter broke in a tangle, was much used reaching a contending position, threatened boldly in the stretch and just missed. FLO FLO was best of tired horses. BLACK HOMBURG showed nothing in the going. WINGLE tired from her early efforts. BELLS LAMENT loomed a threat on the final turn and gave way. The latter had speed from the start, dropped back when bearing out on the turn, came again and just missed. SLY WINK displaced the leaders under mild urging and faltered nearing the end. PARAMODE moved up strongly on the turn after a slow start and lacked a closing rally. CARNIVAL CAT v/as caught in close quarters on the backstretch and could not untrack himself thereafter. LUCIETE went into command soon after entering the stretch, gradually went away without need of urging and won in hand. NORDCAN took up when flocked at the three-furlong post, moved up on the outside thereafter, bore in and bothered LOT-O-BIM inside the sixteenth post and was disqualified and placed third. The latter lugged in leaving the gate and shuffled NORDCAN back, raced closest to the pace and took up when impeded in the late stages. BILLIE-ANNE tired. REMIND ME could not handle the going. . KING DICK raced slightly wide most of the way and finished well. LIVING DOLL was on nearly even terms for command ih the opening six furlongs and faltered. CARNIVAL KID had no excuse.
