Floor Boss Scores 10th Win of Year at Gansett Gains Head Margin on Eternal Mark as Larriewell is Third By FRED GALIANI NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket, R. I., June 13. — Resisting a prolonged challenge in a determined last ditch stand, Sunnycrest Stables Floor Boss added to his impressive record with a head victory over A. A. Crabbes Eternal Mark in the featured Nantucket Purse here today. It was the 10th victory of the year for Floor Boss. It was two and a half lengths back to Three W Stables Larrieweil for third money. Marshall Wilder, who has been riding nii good form here, piloted lFoor Boss, who paid .20 and covered the six furlongs over a fast track in 1:11%. Rain started to sprinkle the strip right before the sixth race and fell lightly during the running of the feature. It was a cloudy and windy day and a crowd of 10,219 was in attendance. Floor Boss, who was claimed for ,500, has more than repaid that investment. In 16 starts this season, he has won 10 and been in the money on three other occasions. ~ The Sunnycrest Stable is the nom de course of the Ianelli .Brothers, of Allen-town, Pa., and is trained bzy Al Donofrio. Floor Boss was out of the gate first and soon on the lead, which he did not re-linguish although it was sliced down to the bone at the wire. Going down the back-stretch he widened to two lengths and made it three -on the turn and coming around to the head of the stretch. Here Eternal Mark, who had broken last and was trailing in the early running, came around horses on the outside to enter ocntention. Floor Boss was under the whip by Wilder and was responding galalntly, but Eternal Mark was chewing up the ground in rapid strides. He had narrowed the three length margin to a length at the sixtenth marker, then whitled it down to a head as they hit the wire. Ground ran out for Eternal Mark. But Floor Boss, who is now in allowance position, can not be defaulted and he now has won five out his last six starts.
