To Cash Beats Sinister at Monmouth Better Than Two Lengths to Good Clear Dawn Finishes Third While Erasina Drops Back After Early Speed Display By JOE HIRSCH MONMOUTH. PARK, Oceanport, N. J., June 13. — To Cash duelled with Errasina the length of the backstretch in the featured Dapper Dan Purse today, then drew out in the final furlong to bring the maroon and yellow colors of Amory Haskells Woodland Farm home two and a half lengths before Sylvester Richs Sinister. It was another half length farther back to Darby Dan" Farms Clear Dawn, who was linked in the wagering with Errasina. The crowd of 12,657 who turned out in mild; overcast weather established To Cash a solid 4-to-5 choice and were rewarded with a .60 mutuel return. Ken Church was astride the four -year-old Cassis filly who was registering her third victory in four starts this season. She was timed in a brisk 1:11% for the six panels and was also responsible for the other fractions of :22Y5 and :45. The Dapper Dan, incidentally, was a prep for Saturdays 0,000 added Regret Handicap and To Cash, along with several others of the field, is a nominee for this one. Leads at Half Mile Marker To Cash, who won a pair of races in 1954, was carrying top weight of 115 pounds this afternoon. She began the present campaign with a clever score at Garden State, lost her rider the next time out and then came right back with a victory at Camden on May 23. Her 1955 earnings- now stand at 1,300 and shes sure to have considerable support in the regret. The winner, who has always displayed a world of early foot, was away from the barrier on even terms with Errasina, then took command approaching the half-mile marker. At the head of the far turn, To Cash was a length and a half to the good of Sinister, who had come up to pass Errasina. Church had a tight hold on To Cash curving for home, then straightening for the wire set the Woodland standard-bearer down for the drive with a flourish. Sinister, in attendance all the way, seemed to take back slightly past the eighth pole when To Cash drifted but a. bit. At any rate, To Cash spurted her and although driving across the wire, was a comfortable winner. • Clear Dawn closed evenly for third money while Errasina, making her seasonal debut, needed the race and retired after helping to make the early pace. v Paul Kelleys Tokyo Girl dashed through jthe narrowest kind of an opening between [horses past the eighth pole, then drew out to score handily by three and one-half lengths in the fifth race. John "Trader" ; Clarks Poor Rube was the runner-up, also closing quickly from off the pace, while Mrs. E. J. Hawthornes Danny O., who had made all the pace in the race, was third, a lengtlj behind Poor Rube. Tokyo Girl, a three-year-old Isolater filly, returned 1.60 for her second victory of the campaign. She had showed little [ against 0,000 company at Garden State earlier this spring and was running for ,500 this afternoon. F. A. Smtih, who was also aboard in her last winning effort on April 21 at ,Gulf stream Park, guided the Kelley miss to her win. She was clocked in 1:12%. for the six furlongs.
