Won ridden out; second and third driving. B. PROMPT, never far back, took command from MR. WIGGINS before reaching the stretch, responded readily when ridden out and won going away. TIGER CAT, outrun to the stretch, finished determinedly but could not reach the top one, although easily best of the others. MR. WIGGINS raced forwardly placed to the stretch, then faltered. JIMS TOWN was outrun and had no misahp. U. S. KNIGHT had early foot but failed to stay. PSYCHIC DREAM, rough at the post, gave a fair effort. HARPETH MISS was never dangerous. BATTLE BOAT began slowly. OSCAR J. had no excuse. DENBRU had brief speed. SUN-SONG showed nothing. ALEIF disliked the heavy track. CARACAS KID UNSEATED HIS RIDER AFTER LEAVING THE PADDOCK, RAN OFF AND WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN. ALL STRAIGHT. OFF AT 5:091 EASTERN STANDARD TIME. / Start good. Won driving; second and third the same. EVEN STROKE, well placed from the start, settled in the stretch with a good lead, but was vigorously handled during the late stages to increase the advantage. WISE PENNY saved ground while improving position to the stretch, was unable to reach the winner, but held on gamely to best the others. JEFFRI K., forced wide entering the stretch, closed willingly when straightened for the drive. WHY STEP lacked early speed and was never dangerous to the leaders. JUST A MOMENT " showed little. MAN OF QUEST tired after showing speed to the stretch.. JIMMIES GEM had no mishap. LADY RAMON had early speed but failed to stay. CONDIBIT raced far back throughout. BEAUTY raced within striking distance of the feeders to the stretch, was sent to the middle of the track into the better going for the drive-and closing fast under strong handling, wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. LOCHY, well placed from the "outset, reached the lead between calls during the stretch run but was unable to hold the top one. CHIMAPHILA raced with WILLOW JADE to the stretch, was in the deepest going next to the inner rail during the drive and, after taking command, failed to stay. JOFIELD began sluggishly. YILLOW JADE went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch under pressure from CIMAPHILA but had nothing left for the drive. HASTY SUN disliked the heavy track. SON AL could not keep up.
