Campbell Active Executive In Maryland Turf Affairs BRUCE S. CAMPBELL, owner of Ram o War, is a Towson, Maryland, contractor. road builder and quarry man and is among the fortunate turfmen of America this year to have a three-year-old of a quality to be a starter in the Kentucky Derby. Campbell, who has been racing for 15 or more years, maintains a large stable in training, often dividing it between as many as four trainers for campaigning on the mile and half-mile tracks. In addition, Campbell is active in Maryland racing affairs, being a vice-president of the Horsemens Benevolent Protective association, a director of the Maryland Horse Breeders Association, and director of Timonium race course.
