Arcaros Great Mistake CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 1. — Although jockey Eddie Arcaro has ridden more Kentucky Derby winners than any other rider the number is five, he still undergoes plenty of kidding about what is termed around the jockeys quarters as the "great mistake." "Heady Eddie" chose to ride Green tree Stables Devil Diver in the 1942 Derby, after first deciding to ride the latters stablemate, Shut Out. Devil Diver finished sixth behind Shut Out, who had the saddle services of Wayne Wright.
