May Day Is Oldsmar Day At Fort Miamis Course FORT MIAMI, Maumee, Ohio, May 1. — May Day turned out to be Oldsmar Day a*» Fort Miami this Friday as two horses, owned by residents of the Florida town, which is the locale of Sunshine Park, stepped down to the wire in the first and J second races to make it an all-Florida Double. And to make the circumstances more double, both horses were winning their second consecutive race at the Ohio track. C. B. Sperry, who is his own trainer, sent -Debonaire to her second sprint victory in the first heat as the daughter of Petrose — Transfer Miss held a length over her near- ! est rival. Debonaire ran the five furlongs in 1:00 5, which is one of the fastest sprints, thus far. Apprentice Gene Martin completed the day for the Oldsmar folks when he booted H. H. Haags Breach home two and a half lengths to complete the favorite Double of . 8.60, which must have been pleasing to the residents of the local horse colony who raced in the Sunshine State this winter. 2-
