Oldest Record at Downs CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 1. — The oldest exisiting track record at this rambling Kentucky Derby course is that set by Luke Blackburn in 1880. During his three-year-old season, Luke Blackburn raced a mile and three-quarters in 3:04%. The use of fifth-seconds in the timing of races hadnt began when the mark was set.
