Unbeaten I Appeal Goes In Bowie Kindergarten Has Stout Duo of Right Bit and Rejane to Compete With Today By PALMER HEAGERTY Staff Correspondent BOWIE, Md., May 1. — Brookfield Farms unbeaten I Appeal and the powerful coupling of Mrs. Sam Lewins Right Bit and Rejane head the field for the twenty-third running of the 0,000 added Bowie Kindergarten as the 31 -day Bowie-Laurel session comes to a conclusion here tomorrow afternoon. Nine other two-year-olds, all but four of whom are credited with a local victory, have been entered overnight in the five -furlong dash. Opposing the aforementioned trio are the following: Mrs. L. L. Voigt, Jr.s Solar System, Allen H. Smiths By Jeepers, Justin Funkhousers Sunday Encore, Mrs. E. B. Stewarts Lois Rabbit, Manunda Stables Silver Arrow, Eugene Constantin, Jr.s Car-tier, George A. Garretts Gin Tonic, Mrs. S. J. Murphys Jer-Ada and Laurel Brook Farms Criskin. I Appeal, after racing four and a half furlongs in :541/s to win his debut, came back to equal the track record of :53V5 for the same distance. Since that time, the Sir Pennant colt has had blinkers added to his equipment in training moves and has shown further improvement. He will again be ridden by Bobby Mitchell and probably will be favored to increase to three races his unbeaten skein. Major opposition to I Appeal in both the wagering and the actual running will be trainer Sidney Jacobs tandem of Right Bit and Rejane. The former, a Wait A Bit gelding, has raced but three times and boasts a pair of victories. In his defeat he was about two lengths behind I Appeal after encountering early trouble. He came back to win by a similar margin in :59% for five furlongs. That time was just two-fifths of a second slower than the track standard held by Equipoise. Rejane is by no means a weak member of the entry, for her record is an Impressive one. She barely missed winning a division of the Hialeah Juvenile when she was knocked about immediately after the start. She won easily in :55 flat for four and a half furlongs over a good track at this meeting.
