Senga in Betsy Ross Drill GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 1. — Several candidates for important stakes events at Garden State Park had warm-up spins over the racing strip this morning. Charles D. Steiners Senga, nominated for the 0,000 added Betsy Ross Stakes to be run tomorrow, breezed five furlongs in 1:03. Darby Dan Farm had a pair of Jersey Stakes eligibles limbering up. Legend of Confey skipped three furlongs in :39, and Blue Label II. was sent a mile which he negotiated in 1:46% for an easy workout. The Jersey will be contested on May 9. Looking ahead to the 0,000 added Valley Forge Handicap of May 16, Mrs. Walter M. Jeffords Post Card was given a five furlong spin. The six-year-old was timed in 1:03%.
