Swaps First Foals to Race in 60 CHURCHILL DOWNS. Louisville, Ky., May 1. — Swaps, winner of the Kentucky Derby in 1955, was more active in racing as a four-year-old than in any of the other two seasons he raced. At that age, he started ten times, won eight. Late in his four-year-old season, Ellsworth sold a half-interest in Swaps to John Galbreath with j the understanding that Swaps would alter- I nate breeding seasons at Ellsworths Chino Ranch in California and Galbr?aths Darby Dan Farm in Kentucky. The horse stood at Chino in 1957. In December of that year Ellsworth sold his remaining interest in Swaps to Mrs. Galbreath. Swaps is now at Darby Dan Farm, near Lexington. His first foals were born in 1958, and will not race i until 1960.
