Count Turf at Strodes Creek CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 1. — Following his three-year-old campaign, Count Turf, winner of the Derby in 1951, made one start at four, another as a five-year-old in 1953. Injured in mid-summer of 1953, it was announced Count Turf would enter the stud in 1954 at Runnymede Farm at Paris, Kentucky. His first foals raced in 1957 when he had two two-year-old winners. In 1958 he was the sire of five two-year-old winners. Count Turf now stands at Strodes Creek Farm, near Paris.
