Espinosa Riding at Ascot ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, May 1. — Victor Espinosa, 20-year-old Mexican jockey, is the latest United States arrival from south of the border to ride throughout the Ohio season. Espinosa has been riding at the Hipodromo de las Americas at Mexico City for the past four years and attracted the attention of Mary-lander Sam Gilman who has raced there for the last two winters. Gilman brought Espinosa to Ascot and will act as his agent in the States as it is the first trip here for the jockey who has no trouble riding at 110 pounds. Espinosa hopes to emulate the career of Avelino Gomez of Mexico and was rated with Gomez among the top 10 riders in Mexico for the past two seasons.
