Snoozie Accepts Top Ascot Impost Wise Colorbearer Carries 119 Pounds While Facing Six Rivals in Warren Cap By BOB HURLEY Staff Correspondent ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, May 1. — Bryan H. Wises Snoozie, winner of two handicaps at Ascot this spring, will accept topweight of 119 pounds to head a field of seven in the ,000 Warren Handicap here Saturday. The Double Jay — Ensigns Up gelding will be conceding from three to 14 pounds to the field in the 6V2 furlongs test which will probably be run over a good racing surface. William Zakoors entry of Demande-Mor and Sink Not Sunk are weighted at 116 and 112, respectively by i cing secretary Charles F. Henry. The field is completed by Frank Mays Attempt and Virgili and Tumas Neer-Do-Well, 113 each: J. W. and Mrs. Fred Whites Roman War, 108, and Jude McGuires Tin Flyer, 105. Winner of Two Handicaps at Meeting Snoozie has accounted for the Rubber City and Cuyahoga Falls Handicaps at this meeting and was beaten a head and a nose under 121 pounds last week in the second division of the Akron. In the Rubber City Mor by four lengths at the same distance the Wise colorbearer defeated Demande-as the Warren although there is a six pounds weight shift in favor of the Zakoor runner from that engagement. Owner-trainer Wise has not named a rider overnight for Snoozie, but the capable Charles Billeaud will probably have the mount as he has ridden the gelding in all of his local engagements. Demande,-Mor, as noted, dropped a decision to Snoozie but the gelding won the Inaugural and then came right back to score against allowance company at -he same 4V2 furlongs distance. The Zakoor strategy will probably be for Demande-Mor to be sacrificed setting a torrid pace, with Sink Not Sunk trying to match any late rally of Snoozies through the final furlongs. Attempt and Neer-Do-Well were steady campaigners in the Ohio area last summer, with the latter a winner here over 6V2 furlongs in 1:20%. The Shaker Heights Purse, a 6V2 furlongs allowance dash for the leading three-year-olds at Ascot, drew eight and promises to be as interesting as the feature. L. Jack Knights entry of Lotafun and Bob Adams will renew their rivalry with Fighting Blue and Game Son. Catawba Maid. Luke Valen-tina, By the Bushel and Rainproof complete the field.
