Hoop# Jr. Lightly Raced CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 1. — Hoop, Jr. was not continued in racing after his three-year-old season, in which he started only four times. The 1945 winner of the Kentucky Derby was one of the most lightly raced Derby champions in many years. Following this season he was retired as a stallion at Lexington by his owner. He was bearded at the Kentucky farm for several years. Owner Hooper now has the stallion quartered at his farm in Alabama.
