j : 1 j I , I Assault Now a Pensioner CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 1 . — Not since Whiskery, Kentucky Derby winner in 1927, has any winner of the event raced as many seasons as did As- sault. Whiskery started each year through his seven-year-old season. Assualt ran his last race as a seven-year-old in 1950, thus equalling Whiskerys mark of six years of campaigning. Assualt now is a pensioner at King Ranch in Texas. He proved sterile when tried as a stallion.
