Best Year, Worst Day CHURCHILL DOWNS. Louisville, Ky., May 1. — Jockey Roscoe Goose had his best ! year and worst day at Churchill Downs in 1916. He was leading rider at both Spring and Fall meetings that year, and his 26 victories at the Spring meeting gave him his top total at any race program here. On the sixth day of the 1916 Spring pro-I gram, Goose finished unplaced in the first, I second, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh I races. He. had no mount in the third.
